We spend so much of our time sitting at a desk, and as more of us are working from home, it’s so important to create a space that is not only functional and comfortable, but also inspiring and inviting. After all it is here that most of us realize our dreams.
For me, my workspace is my happy place - it needs to be practical, but filled with things I love, as this is where I get inspired and creative. Here are some helpful tips on creating your most productive workspace.
GET ORGANISED - A de-cluttered, organised space is essential to a productive work environment. There are so many great looking storage solutions available and they can add to or even create the aesthetic of your space. If you have open shelves, fill them up with gorgeous storage boxes-there are styles to suit every look.
DÉCOR - Display a visual reminder of what excites you about your work and what makes you happy - an inspiration board, books, magazines, candles etc.
FLOWERS & PLANTS - Breathe some life into your space. Not only do plants instantly brighten a space, but they make it healthier by absorbing carbon dioxide and radiation and releasing oxygen.
COLOUR - Brightening your space will brighten your outlook. If you tend to be a little stressed or anxious, choose pale or neutral colours and if you need an energy boost opt for brights. If you fluctuate between both, a neutral palette with pops of colour will work.
