LUMIRA x Range Rover: The Residency in Thredbo

This winter, Range Rover brought The Residency to Thredbo - an immersive alpine experience celebrating modern luxury, considered design and the enduring romance of life in the mountains.

Held in partnership with Thredbo Resort and renowned Australian interior stylist Steve Cordony, The Residency welcomed guests into a beautifully curated world inspired by Range Rover’s heritage and longstanding affinity with Australian snow culture.

From 28 July to 5 August, the house became a place for winter rituals, thoughtful conversations and memorable moments both on and off the slopes. Surrounded by the extraordinary landscape of the Snowy Mountains, guests experienced the refined capability, quiet confidence and spirit of adventure that have come to define Range Rover.

LUMIRA was honoured to join The Residency as its fragrance partner, creating a bespoke LUMIRA x Range Rover candle exclusively for the experience.

Creating a sense of place

At LUMIRA, we believe fragrance has the power to transport us. It can capture the atmosphere of a destination, shape the way a space feels and preserve the memory of a particular moment long after it has passed.

This belief was at the heart of our collaboration with Range Rover.

The bespoke candle was created to bring the world of Range Rover to life through scent, adding another sensory dimension to The Residency and the experiences unfolding within it. Designed to sit naturally within the beautifully considered interiors, the fragrance became part of the atmosphere of the house—quietly accompanying fireside conversations, intimate gatherings and moments of retreat after a day in the alpine landscape.

Rather than simply scenting the space, the candle was intended to deepen the connection between the house, its surroundings and the people who gathered there.

These shared values informed the development of the LUMIRA x Range Rover candle. Every detail was approached with intention, creating an object that felt at home within The Residency while reflecting the distinctive character of both brands.

Fragrance as part of the experience

Within The Residency, the bespoke candle added this final, invisible layer.

Thredbo provided an extraordinary setting for the partnership. Its dramatic landscape, crisp mountain air and rich connection to Australian snow culture created a natural meeting point between luxury and adventure.

The Residency celebrated this setting through a series of curated experiences, bringing guests closer to the landscape while offering the warmth and hospitality of a beautifully designed alpine home.

For LUMIRA, whose fragrances are inspired by destinations, atmosphere and memory, the opportunity to interpret this world through scent felt particularly meaningful. The collaboration reflects our ongoing exploration of how fragrance can tell the story of a place - not only through its physical surroundings, but through the mood, rituals and emotions it inspires.
