An Invitation / Designing for the Senses
There is a moment we rarely think about when we walk through the front door.
Before we notice the furniture, admire the artwork or appreciate the architecture, we feel something.
A home has an atmosphere long before it has a style.
It is created by natural light moving through a room, the softness of linen, thoughtfully collected objects, fresh flowers on a table and the scent that quietly lingers in the background. Individually these details seem small, but together they shape how we experience a space and how that space makes us feel.
That shared belief is what has brought the three of us together. Interior designer Camilla Ingall of Unfolded, Interior stylist Laura Rees and fragrance founder Almira Armstrong have each spent years helping people create beautiful spaces through different creative disciplines. While our work begins in different places, it always arrives at the same destination: creating homes that feel personal, welcoming and lived in.

This September, we are delighted to invite you to Designing for the Senses, an intimate evening at MCM House where we will explore how thoughtful interiors, styling and fragrance work together to transform a house into a home.
Rather than a decorating masterclass, this is a conversation about atmosphere.
Together we will move through three beautifully curated rooms, sharing practical ideas, creative inspiration and the often-overlooked finishing touches that shape the feeling of a home.
The Living Room
Every home tells its first story here.
We will explore how layout, proportion and furniture placement create flow, how thoughtful styling introduces warmth and personality, and why fragrance is often the final layer that welcomes people before you've even said hello.
Featuring Il Giardino, inspired by the freshness and tranquillity of an Italian garden.

The Dining Room
Some of life's most memorable moments happen around the table.
We will share how to create spaces that encourage conversation and connection through lighting, styling and atmosphere, while exploring why Tonic of Gin is the perfect fragrance to complement entertaining without ever competing with it.
The Bedroom
A bedroom should feel like an exhale.
We will walk through simple ways to create calm through thoughtful design, layered styling and the grounding warmth of Noir d'Oud, a fragrance that encourages rest, ritual and quiet moments at the end of the day.
Throughout the evening you will experience how each creative discipline builds upon the next, revealing that beautiful homes are rarely the result of one decision. Instead, they're created through thoughtful layers that engage every sense.

Our hope is that you will leave inspired, not to completely redesign your home, but with practical ideas that help you see your own spaces differently.
Because when design, styling and scent work together, a home becomes more than somewhere you live.
It becomes somewhere you love to return to.
