A simple candle meditation
Regular meditation can promote a feeling of calm and counter some of the mental load we’re feeling due to COVID-19. Whether you’re in full lockdown in Victoria, Australia, or adjusting to life elsewhere around the world, we hope this simple candle meditation provides a moment of respite.
Sit comfortably and position your candle at least 50cm away, at eye height or slightly lower. Stare at the candle and allow the flickering flame to fill your mind. If you find your mind wanders, gently bring your attention back to the flame. Aim to maintain your meditation for at least five minutes.
An earthy floral scent – like La Primavera – brings an additional layer of calm to your meditation.
